How has art impacted or affected the Winona Community during Covid? What soothed our souls during this pandemic? And how has the Winona Arts Center emerged through all of this? Find out through The Winona Arts Center Art In the Time of Covid Exhibition, which will be held Sept. 12-Nov. 10, 2021.

An opening reception for the exhibition was held on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 3-6pm with a 6:30 pm showing of Mary Farrell’s film, Winona Unmasked: A Covid -19 Collection of Interviews.

This was an opportunity for community members to share how their experience during the pandemic was influenced or impacted by the arts and see the newly remodeled Arts Center which is now completely accessible due to the installation of the new lift. It was also another opportunity to see local filmmaker Mary Farrell’s film, Winona Unmasked. The film is a collection of Winona community members who were affected by Covid personally or professionally. A Q&A followed the 60-minute film.

In addition, the Arts Center hosted an evening of Art In the Time of Covid performances on Saturday, Sept. 18, where community members had the opportunity to take the stage and share their works of poetry, music or performance. Please enjoy a digital presentation of the show, beginning with the gallery and then moving on to the night of performances. A big thanks to Wenonah Creates for recording and editing this video for all to enjoy.
