SUMMARY:SuminagashiScape: The Driftless with Dawn Tevis
DESCRIPTION:Saturday / October 22 / 10:00 am-12:00 pm\nSuminagashi is an ancient and meditative Japanese marbling art that was practiced at least as early as the 12th century. This project is designed to help people connect more deeply to their local landscape by creating environment-inspired paper marbling art. Suminagashi stations will be set up that allow participants to experiment with a few ink prints in an indoor setting. Most other events have been outdoors. His tenure on the R&B and folk circuits has culminated in five critically acclaimed solo recordings and numerous appearances on the recordings of and performances with artists including Odetta\, Jimmy LaFave\, Ribbon of Highway Woody Guthrie Tribute\, Greg Brown\, Richard Shindell\, Ellis Paul\, Ronny Cox\, Dave Moore\, Andy White\, and Bo Ramsey.
