SUMMARY:Sgraffito Tile Class with Richard Spiller
DESCRIPTION:Saturday / March 25\, 2023 / 1:00-3:00pm\nThis class was very popular last year so we are bringing it back this spring. Sgraffito is a pottery decorating technique where multiple layers of colored slips are applied to a leather hard tile and then removed by scratching off successive layers of colors to reveal the layers underneath. \nStudents will each be given 8-inch tiles to draw on the tile and scratch off the excess clay. Students can bring their own drawings or use those provided. The tiles will be fired at Spiller’s studio and returned to participants at a later date.
