DESCRIPTION:created by Sharon Mansur; presented in partnership with the Frozen River Film Festival\nSaturday / October 7\, 2023 / 2:00-4:00pm\nJoin Winona based dance/interdisciplinary artist Sharon Mansur and guests for “tracings: dance film screening and community sharing”. This informal event will feature the premiere of tracings\, a dance film created by Sharon Mansur in collaboration with Sydney Swanson\, director of photography. \nAlso enjoy a sneak peak into the tracings: creative walking project’s process with Mansur\, Swanson and Community Partner Alexa Shapiro from the Winona Outdoor Collaborative. Marty Walsh with the Minnesota Driftless Hiking Trail will also be there to discuss an exciting initiative to create a 100-mile footpath across southeastern Minnesota. \nFree admission\, open to all ages\, no reservations needed. He holds a graduate degree in Piano Performance from the UMKC Conservatory and an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Hastings College. \nHe has cultivated a unique musical voice that gracefully merges classical elements\, minimalist soundscapes\, and cinematic qualities. His main vehicle is the piano merged with electronics. Daniel’s compositions resonate with both seasoned musicians and casual listeners\, creating a profound impact on a diverse audience. \nIn addition to his solo projects\, he has established a successful full-time career in film composing. His evocative scores have been featured in numerous films and his music has been listened to over 30 million times. As a composer\, Daniel’s primary objective is to create music that elicits deep emotions\, fostering a unique connection with each listener. He firmly believes in the transformative power of music and is dedicated to making a positive impact on his community through his work. \nCoffeehouse and gallery open at 6:00pm and music starts at 7:00pm.
